We had earlier reported that Deepika Padukone is taking lessons in sword fighting and martial arts for her role in Bajirao Mastani. To make her character look more authentic Dippy will wear a 20 kgs armour in the film as well.
Considering Dippy had previously worn a ghagra weighing 30 kgs in Ram-Leela, it shouldn’t be an uphill task for her. But nevertheless shooting for stunts especially the sword fighting sequences in a 20 kgs armour will be a quite a challenge for the leggy lass.
Playing the role of the iconic Mastani in Bajirao Mastani, Dippy will be romancing her life boyfriend Ranveer Singh who plays Peshwa Bajirao in the same. Also starring Priyanka Chopra, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus is said to release during Christmas 2015.
